Transaction Express is a feature that provides HMI-independent access to Steeplechase VLC Runtime data. You can use Transaction Express to write files, read and write databases, or transfer data between nodes (PCs) on a network using Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ). Transaction Express uses an XML configuration file to describe required processing steps. Transaction Express can be installed on a computer with or without Steeplechase VLC.
Transaction Express provides HMI-independent access to databases and other Windows facilities from the Steeplechase VLC Runtime using Runtime tags. Transaction Express uses a configuration tile to define its interaction with the Steeplechase VLC Runtime. In addition to providing flexible access to databases. Transaction Express also supports data transfer between nodes using MSMQ and the ability to write files. Using Transaction Express without custom C/C++, VB or HMI code, you can retrieve recipe data from local or remote databases, store and retrieve calibration data sets, log messages to a file, or perform other operations that move data to and from the Steeplechase VLC Runtime.
