OmniServer

The classic OmniServer program, the time tested and proven technology that has been delivering data from thousand of devices for over ten years. The OmniServer Server Edition provides connectivity from your serial and TCP/IP devices to any OPC, DDE, and SuiteLink client.

  • Cost Effective - saves thousands vs. writing custom drivers
  • Proven Track Record - 13 years of unparalleled performance. OmniServer is the industry standard by which all other products are judged
  • Ease of Use - Dialogue box driven. No programming required
  • Depth - Simple barcodes or complex PLCs. Serial, Ethernet, or Parallel. Talk to a vast array of unique devices
  • Reliability - Setup and Forget. If you don't know it's there, we've done our job
  • Interoperability - OPC, DDE, Suitelink, ODBC, and more. Seamless and quick connectivity

The standard by which all other configurable servers are measured, the OmniServer Server Edition utilizes an advanced configurable protocol development tool to deliver any Serial, LPT, or Ethernet data over to any OPC, SuiteLink, or DDE client. Without the use of programming, and only using dialog boxes, you can describe your data stream to OmniServer and have it control the polling of the device and the delivery of the data. There is never a need for expensive custom drivers - OmniServer gives you all the tools you need to develop your custom driver.

Services

Protocol Development - For situations where you want to have our engineers configure your protocol for you. Easymatics have experienced engineers that can work with device and create custom protocols, and evaluate performance.

Technical Services - For situations when you need to gather a functional specification for the protocol, and the equipment may be located on site. Our engineers can visit site, and reverse engineer the protocol to develop a specification for the interface conversion.

How it Works

The Proven Choice in Universal Data Acquisition. A Cost Effective Solution for When There Is No Driver Available.

OmniServer is a fully configurable I/O server which interprets the data coming in from a device and delivers the data to any client program that supports the major information exchanges.

OmniServer takes care of all the polling and data parsing for you, and does this without the use of a programming language. All you need to know is how you want to present the data to the outside world.

Unlike most I/O servers that talk to specific devices and no others, OmniServer can be configured to talk to virtually any one device or multiple devices. This is done through a series of dialog boxes that guide you through building a description of the data stream used to communicate with the device. Once built, OmniServer takes care of the communications with the device and the delivery of the data to a client program. The model of the data stream in OmniServer is called a Protocol.
