We believe one of the prime advantages to our users is a software architecture that enables flexibility, responsiveness, and performance.

1. Single engine offers multiple Software Interfaces - the OPC, FastDDE, Suitelink and AdvanceDDE interfaces to other software are independent of each other. There is no "wrapping" of interfaces going on here, everything is available to you.
2. Independence of Hardware Specific Drivers - since each specific PLC or automation device hardware driver is a separate piece that snaps into the TOP server engine, we can revision a driver and not effect others. Furthermore, features can be added to the engine that instantly become available to the over 50 unique drivers available to you.
3. Performance - the drivers are in process DLLs that are multi-threaded and highly optimized for their specific tasks. You will find that when put to the test, the limiting factor will often be the PLC network, not the TOP server driver. Since each software interface in the TOP server operates independent of others without wrapping, they be active simultaneously and the highly responsive multi-threaded core engine

Responsiveness - the modular architecture allows us to respond quickly to your needs and add new capabilities very quickly.  Don't be afraid to ask for a quote on engineering for specific features you might need - we get a lot of requests but you will find we are able to do things quickly and economically in many cases.
